Dodge Grand Caravan 2003Change

I have owned a few Dodge Caravans and they have always been good. Spacious vehicles. Common car issues, brakes, etc need to be up kept. Rust is a major problem with the older models. Having a built in DVD player for the passengers is a nice feature, especially if you have children. The newer models have stow a go seats but this older one does not. Cargo space in the older model is more limited than the newer ones.

I have been driving this car for a few years now, and i just love it.
Its comfortable, and very reliable. I love this car, but i bought a new one so i have to sell this one!

This Car needs close to $2000 to safety .it has been in a minor accident the Vender failed to disclose and does not admit to.

I purchased a Grand Caravan about a year and half ago and traveled across Canada sleeping in the back. It was really comfortable the whole way, a great drive, even through the high mountain passes of BC. I didn't have a single mechanical issue the entire 5000km journey. The best vehicle purchase I've ever made.
There is plenty of room in the car, with 7 seats, the back two rows of which can be folded down or taken out completely (there are really heavy though). There are power sockets throughout, so with the right adaptor, the kids (or adults) can charge their computers or phones in the back (or front).
The car handles really well, has good power when you need it. It came with all the bells and whistles you could thing of like cruise control and power steering as well as fog lamps and split front and rear climate control. It also is installed with a rear DVD player, and a 6 stack CD changer, optional extras that the previous owner had invested in.
Will miss this car

I've had my van since new & it's always taken us to where we need to go. It's the most practical vehicle the I have ever owned.

The typical family vehicle, perfect for busy families. Enough space to haul your sports equipment, groceries, school projects, and large family. Some nice features offered - automatic sliding door and rear door that makes life easier when you have your hands full, extra cargo shelving in the back that makes loading groceries a breeze, and electronic temperature and compass display. This is a comfortable vehicle for long distance travel and isn't bad on gas.

this could not have been a better buy. great mileage, great body/interior, very comfortable and roomy. if you're considering a minivan just go with this one, you won't be disappointed.

With a proper maintenace, ten years later, my baby is still performing strong. Few minor flaws when it comes to suspension, brakes, and final interior touches, but overall experiance with this vehicle has been nothing but good. I would definately recommend it to families with kids

I had a short experience with this car - I rented it for a weekend. First I was a bit surprised by its transmission shifting - it's different from my car. But once I got used to it - pretty quickly - I started to like the car. It was easily managed - surprisingly for this big car. Very good behavior on the road. Quite reasonable fuel consuming. Lots of space inside.

If I had a larger family I would certainly choose this car!

I've driven minivans for 25 years now, ever since our first Dodge Caravan 4 cylinder manual transmission woody wagon back in the early 80's.
We tried Oldsmobile vans for a few years, but I firmly believe Dodge has this segment figured out, in terms of value.
Our current Grand Caravan has been reliable, with no major outages in 9 years. at 153,000 km, the mileage is getting up there, and as with all our Caravans, the transmission is showing signs of deterioration.
But you cant beat the price and storage capability. The mileage tradeoff between a minivan and a small car isnt big enough to make me switch.
Would I buy another Caravan? Reluctantly, absolutely. Someday I'll get my Mazda Miata and have a little fun.......
